It's Almost Here!

Just back in after checking the progress down at the Festival Grounds and it looks incredible - the transformation. And with less than 18 hours left to go to show time - it's really getting exciting!

Last Sunday imagine a regular day down at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington. This is a beautiful, on the water park where families are enjoying a typical, uneventful afternoon. But this predictability is short lived.

You see on Monday a few trucks start to arrive - then a few more - and a few more. Next day even more trucks, and then tables and chairs and fencing and... Well you can imagine, it starts to get pretty busy.

Now less than a day away a mini "Festival City" has been erected complete with fully functional stages (state-of-the-art sound and lights:) that will provide performance to the likes of Ashley MacIsaac, Marianas Trench, Lighthouse, New York Dolls, The Trews to name but a very few (ALL totally FREE).

And by the weekend over 90 musical acts will be performing at 10 different venues. There will also be a Grande Festival Parade, a downtown STREETFEST, a Carnival, amazing Vendors for all tastes, a Family Zone (very important for our young Fathers Day families), and much, much more!

Yes after a year's planning - and in less than 4 working days - the 31st edition of Burlington's Sound Of Music Festival will be happening. And all thanks to hundreds of dedicated volunteers who help make our FREE Festival happen.

By why not come and see for yourself - to Burlington's Sound Of Music Festival - because for this Fathers Day Weekend this is the place to be!
