Compost and Recycling     

PUT WASTE IN ITS PLACE!
We'll show you how you can help us divert 15 tonnes of waste from going into landfill 

  • Located throughout the Festival grounds are three-cluster barrel systems that include COMPOST, RECYCLING and LITTER – please deposit your waste in the appropriate barrel.

WATER RE-FILL STATIONS
Help us achieve our goal in making the Festival bottle-free by 2014  

  •  Plastic water bottles are the largest component of our waste, please bring your own re-useable containers
  •  Water re-fill stations are located throughout the park
  •  You'll also have the option to buy a cup or one of our souvenir water containers. Refill with water as often as you want

SHUTTLE SERVICE
Help us reduce our ecological footprint by riding the Festival shuttle

  • Burlington Transit shuttle buses will run from the Burlington Fairview GO Station to the Downtown John Street Transit Terminal
  • Shuttle buses located on the North side of the GO Station, platform 4
  •  Drop off and pick up terminal is one short block away from Spencer Smith Park
  •  Ample parking is available on the north side of the GO Station
  •  Shuttles run every 15 minutes
  •  $3 per person for a round trip shuttle. Children under 5 ride free. Valid Burlington Transit transfers will be honoured
  •  Fares collected help keep this convenient program sustainable
  •  Volunteers and Burlington Transit staff will be available at either location to help you with your journey

 

 

Bike corral
Safely store your bike while you enjoy the Festival

  • This supervised, fenced area is located behind the Waterfront Hotel
  • Fee is only $2 per bicycle and will go entirely to help support our free Festival
